Hand building with Templates & Forms

If you’ve ever wanted to take a ceramics class but felt intimidated by building from scratch or learning the wheel, we have the perfect class for you.

Join Kimberley Pierce for our new Hand building with Templates & Forms class, where you’ll learn how to use clay slabs, templates, and forms to create beautiful, functional pottery—no wheel throwing or advanced experience required.

This class is approachable, fun, and a wonderful way to play in the mud with intention. You’ll walk away with useful pieces and new skills, all in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Class size is limited to 12 students

  • Creating texture and surface design using stamps, carving, and layered decoration
  • Proper joining techniques and structural integrity
  • Basic glaze application and finishing methods
  • Understanding the drying and firing process

Students must be 18 years or older. Some exceptions can be made. Contact Delores with requests before registering your child.

We do not offer personal make up days since all of our classes are full.Typically instructors repeat lessons so if you miss one week you'll have the demo next time. We also offer open studio, access to the studio on the weekends and some weekday options for students to come in and practice.
