Delores Pottery & Studios

In this 2 hour workshop participates will learn basic hand-building or Wheel throwing techniques to create beautiful Functional or decorative pieces. 

Your group can choose between wheel or hand-building. If the group is between 11- 25 people we can split the group into each studio and one can throw on the wheel and the other can hand-build. Max of 10 people for the wheel.

We will prep clay for you on the wheel and roll out slabs for the hand building that you can slump into molds or over various shapes to create fabulous platters, plates, even bowls. There are SO many stamps and ways to imprint patterns into your creation.

If you want to make a few really special wall hangings for those beautiful spring flowers, the stamps and patterns will enable you to create some really special pieces.

This is a one-session workshop, so you’ll have the option of using colored slip and we’ll clear glaze it, or you’ll be able to choose from 2 - 3 glazes. All students will create 1-2 pieces. Your beautiful works of art can be used in your home or as gifts!

Make sure to wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty!

Pick up will be 2 -3 weeks after the class. An email with pick up instructions will be sent.

Students are encouraged to bring snacks and drink of their choice.

Standard private workshop price is $75 per person for hand-building and $85 for wheel but we understand companies and groups have budgets.

'Wine' cups can be purchased at a discount in advance during registration or day of in person at full price.

While this is meant to be an exciting workshop, intoxicated guests will not be able to participate or remain on the premises. Please drink responsibly and be prepared to hail a Taxi/Lyft/Uber in the event that you are not capable of driving safely.

We aim to create decorative and functional wares that you may bring home and use. Despite our best efforts sometimes not all the pottery pieces make it through both kiln firings. This is rare but in the case a piece does not come out in tact please remember this is part of the pottery process and this does not mean guests are entitled to a makeup class or to a refund.
